Attorney Biography
James C. Wing Jr.: 

Education:  B.A., Economics, University of Hartford (1979); J.D. University of Connecticut School of Law (1982).


Academic Honors:
 Admitted into Omicron Delta Epsilon, an Economics honor society (1979); Chosen for the UCONN Law School Moot Court Board; Reached the Quarter-Finals of the National Appellate Advocacy Competition (1981); Member, UCONN Law School Criminal Clinic.


Career History
: Began as a law clerk, in a medium sized firm while attending law school (1980);  was an associate (1982-1987); was made partner (1987); left the partnership to open the Law Offices of James C. Wing Jr. (1989)*

*(Later that year, he was joined by Attorney Jonathan Abels and the practice was known as the Law Offices of Wing and Abels, until 1993).  


Work Experience:
Over 25 years of experience; Admitted to practice in the courts of Connecticut (1982); Admitted to the Bar of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut (1983); He has represented clients Pro Hac Vice in other states and federal districts; He is experienced as a litigator in both court and jury trials brought in both Connecticut's state and federal courts.

 Attorney Wing has served as a Family Special Master for the Connecticut Superior Court; He has taught Family Law as an adjunct professor at The Hartford College for Women/The University of Hartford;  Attorney Wing has presented a seminar to the Hartford County Bar entitled “The New Connecticut Child Support Guidelines”; He has twice addressed lawyers and educators on “The Discipline of Students with Special Needs in Connecticut”; Attorney Wing lectured the Connecticut Psychological Association at their annual convention on “Bullying in the Public Schools” discussing both the laws regarding bullying and how to stop bullying in our schools; His experience includes administrative hearings, appeals, mediations, and arbitration.
